My child sustained brain injury at birth and I think it was related to a vacuum extractor the doctor used during delivery. How do I figure out if the doctor caused the injury to my child?

When a doctor uses tools during delivery, the possibility of birth trauma increased. Certain types of tools (i.e. assisted birth (suction); assisted birth (forceps), etc.) can be misused by the delivery doctor and can cause brain injuries. Assisted birth using suction, also known as vacuum extraction, can cause injury ranging from bruising on the head to full-blown brain damage if used improperly. Birth trauma is a life-changing experience for the children and families who experience it, and when a doctor is at fault for the injury, the family can seek damages. In order to determine whether your delivery doctor caused the injury to your child, you should contact an attorney in your area that specializes in birth trauma and medical malpractice cases.
