Although it is impossible to determine whether the behavior of the doctor was reasonable without knowing the full circumstances, it is likely that your doctor acted in line with medical practice when he suggested a Caesarian section for a breach delivery. However, your wife’s preference certainly should have been taken into account and doctors must obtain informed consent without coercion prior to administering medical procedures.
