Cerebral Palsy Treatments

Cerebral palsy treatments can help the individual to improve their day-to-day life quality and help to give them more independence, in many situations. There is a variety of types of treatment available. This includes counseling to help aid in some of the psychiatric needs the individual has. Other forms of therapy include occupational therapy, physical therapy, music therapy, speech therapy, play therapy, and in some cases pharmaceutical therapy. In addition, some children and adults will benefit from surgical procedures to improve their overall ability to function. Specialists may be necessary to aid in the improvements across the board. Most forms of therapy are expensive and may not be included in standard health care policies.
