C Section Vs Vaginal

The debate rages on as to whether or not it is safer and better to have a c section vs a vaginal birth. The method you choose to give birth can affect not only your health, but the health of your baby as well. The recovery time with a c section is much longer, both at home and in the hospital. Both the length of time you will be in pain and the severity of the pain are longer with a c section. Studies have shown that a c section involves more risk to both the mother and the baby than a vaginal birth. Babies have been cut on their body in different areas and have developed respiratory problems soon after a c section birth. These babies are also more likely to develop asthma as they get older. Babies born vaginally are more alert, and are able to commence breastfeeding much sooner than c section babies. Urgent health situations make the birthing technique of c section invaluable to women and their families everywhere. In most other situations, the c section vs vaginal birth debate is a misnomer. The risks involved to both mother and child during the c section procedure are far greater than those during a surgical birth.
